Patricia A PitzerChief Financial Officer
Gilbert, AZ, USA
Pat has an incredibly diverse background, from engineer and designer to pastor and professor. Her professional and life experiences have provided her with a broad range of skills. Pat graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. Pat has always loved numbers. Her foundation in engineering prepared her well for project management. As a Senior Designer for a world-renown lighting consulting firm and as the owner of her own consulting firm, she worked on multi-million dollar projects around the globe, verifying through the process that the designs met all the client’s budget constraints. Running her own firm gave her hands-on experience in all financial aspects of business, from operations costs and budgeting to tax filings to payroll complexities.
Pat also holds a Masters of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary. Her roles as Chair of the Board of Trustees (8 years), Associate Pastor (3 years), and Treasurer (3 years) for her former churches also contributed to her understanding of business economics. Her most recent experience was as the Interim Executive Director and Administrative Director for a non-profit organization that served the homeless of Sacramento, California. In her four-year tenure there she revamped the organization’s accounting system to a comprehensive package that decreased their dependence on outside accounting assistance, including running payroll in-house. She was also responsible for grant applications and reporting, staffing, and community relations.
In addition to keeping the financial aspects of MedEdQR on track, Pat enjoys gardening, cooking, and traveling. Her favorite travel destination is Pennsylvania, visiting her grandson.
